West Oz Active are looking for an adventure guide to work within our micro-business in the adventure tourism industry.

- Above Award pay rate
- Located in Karijini National Park in the Pilbara region of WA

The successful guide will report to the Head Guide and will be responsible for running tours and regular maintenance of gear including but not limited to:
- Canyoning tours with single pitch abseiling and rock climbing
- Single pitch abseiling and top rope climbing programs
- Guided walks providing environmental and historical interpretation
- Daily gear up and pack down of all equipment used
- Gear maintenance including washing ropes, replenishing first aid kits and servicing hardware
The job will be on a casual basis, with the season running from April until October inclusive. Successful applicants will be required to live onsite within Karijini National Park in a small community of around 25 people. Subsidised onsite accommodation, access to vehicles when available, limited wifi, meal options and access to a Mental Health Professional, all provide for a great work environment.
Successful applicants must have:
- Wilderness First Aid Certificate
- Minimum of Certificate III in Outdoor Recreation with single pitch abseiling and rock climbing
- Bronze Medallion or Swift Water Rescue qualification
- Eligibility to apply for NOLRS single pitch abseiling and rock climbing (natural surfaces)
- Medium Rigid driver’s licence with eligibility for F-Class extension
- WA Working with Children Check
Experience living or working in a remote or small community environment is desirable.
