Fixed Term Leaders

We are looking for Group Leaders for Semester 2 of 2025

Mid-July to Mid-December

What we offer:

Very competitive remuneration and conditions;

Typically, a full semester (6 month) work load would attract the following:

Fixed Term GL 2 Semester contract	~ $31,950	$29.40 /hr +10% incentive
Accrued Annual leave Paid out	~ $2300 varies on number of days worked over semester
Overnight Allowances	~ $1200 average
Estimated Semester Earnings	~ $35,450	+ Completion bonus!

Fixed-term Level 2 Leader program day rate with overnight allowance reaching $478.44
Fixed-term Leader positions attract annual and personal leave.
Superannuation payments in accordance with legislation
We provide; all meals and tent accomm whilst on program; first aid kit and uniform; all required activity and campsite equipment and ongoing training and development.
A thorough familiarisation/training days to get you up-to-speed
Onsite accommodation options are available on a permanent or casual basis.

Who we are:

Somerset has a proud history in the outdoor education space since 1981 and over that time we have employed 1000’s of people across all areas of operation.
Operating 2-6 day journey-style programs (including Duke of Ed) from our basecamp, utilising the River and surrounding bush.
Our seasons run from mid-January to beginning of June and Mid-July to Mid-December
Somerset is located 90mins from Sydney on the glorious Colo River.
We have over 20 fixed private campsites and over 20 activity areas that groups move between to complete their experience.
Groups are mostly in the Year 5-10 age group (11-17 years old).

What Applicants Must have:

Certificate IV in Outdoor Rec / Leadership
NSW WWCC
Qualifications in canoeing or kayaking, bushwalking & abseil or climbing,
Remote or Wilderness First Aid (or the ability to acquire)
