About the Role: As a Program Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing Outdoor Education Programs through all phases of the program lifecycle: client engagement, program design, planning and administration, resourcing, in-field coordination, review, and rebooking. You will ensure that programs are designed and delivered to meet specific client needs while maintaining high levels of customer service and satisfaction. You will work closely with various teams and report to the Client & Outdoor Education Service Delivery Team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program Development and Delivery: Coordinate, monitor, and evaluate the development and delivery of Outdoor Education Programs and other LEF products and services.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensure programs meet client needs, delivering high levels of customer service and satisfaction.
  • Team Leadership: Provide direction, leadership, and supervision to program delivery staff to ensure programs meet or exceed LEF quality and safety expectations.
  • Risk Management: Perform risk assessments of programs and activities to manage risks in accordance with LEF Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Business Development: Cultivate and manage relationships with school clients and other stakeholders to secure new business and promote LEF products and services.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure all activities are in accordance with LEF’s Safety Management Plan and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Logistics Coordination: Coordinate communication of client booking requirements to internal LEF departments, including safety, catering, resourcing, and administration.
  • Financial Management: Manage and monitor financial performance to meet business priorities within established budget targets.
  • Instruction and Facilitation: Provide instruction, facilitation, and leadership in recreational activities and outdoor pursuits to meet agreed outcomes.
  • Staff Mentoring: Provide mentoring and leadership to core and casual Land’s Edge Foundation Program Delivery staff, including trainees, group leaders, activity specialists, and program support staff.
Skills and Attributes:
  • Proven knowledge in Outdoor Education.
  • High level of verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organisational, workflow, and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with staff and clients at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage staff to achieve organisational and client objectives.
  • Experience in managing and delivering outdoor education programs that are safe, meaningful, and enjoyable.
  • Ability to work within set budgets and targets.
  • Experience leading groups in a variety of environments.
  • Strong understanding of and adherence to safety management and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Capability to manage complex logistical challenges and problem-solve.
  • Willingness to work away from home for a number of weeks throughout the year in various locations across NSW.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year of experience coordinating groups
  • Relevant qualifications in Outdoor Leadership, Education or Recreation and/or relevant industry knowledge and experience
  • Current NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC) clearance
  • Current First Aid Certificate (Wilderness First Aid preferred)
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (preferred but not essential)
  • Current Class C Driver’s License (manual preferred but not essential)
