Staff Qualifications:
- Professional credentials: Minimum Certificate IV in Outdoor Recreation or equivalent.
- Proficiency in facilitation, wilderness first aid, bushwalking, canoeing, mountain biking, high ropes, abseiling
- A strong passion for outdoor education and a dedication to positively influencing youth development.

- Rites Of Passage Programme (RoP) – Celebrating its 16th Year in July 2024
Higher Ground is thrilled to offer a world-class experiential learning and personal development programme in 2024, each with a legacy of changing lives. We're inviting expressions of interest from skilled and passionate staff eager to contribute to these transformative experiences.
About the Programmes:
- Rites Of Passage Programme (RoP): Now in its remarkable 16th year, the RoP is a 28-day immersive experience near the Sunshine Coast. Aimed at Year 9 students from Hong Kong, this programme brings together over 200 students in three groups, engaging them in various outdoor activities across our three centers.
Your Role: As a vital member of our team, you will co-lead and mentor students through a range of outdoor activities and personal development exercises. This role is not just a job; it's a chance to inspire and impact young lives, guiding them through experiences that foster growth and self-discovery.
Programme Schedule:
- RoP Programme: 8th July - 11th August 2024 (28 days), including 3 days pre-programme training and 6 rest days.
Application Process: We are looking for both new and returning staff members who share our vision for either or both programmes. Candidates will be selected based on experience, qualifications, and their ability to connect and work well with co-instructors.
Pay Scale: Base hourly rate: $32.73/ hour plus overtime loadings and first aid allowance as the Miscellaneous Award Level 3
